MINSK, 6 December (BelTA) - Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko appointed new heads of local authorities and commented on the sanctions against Belarus, BelTA has learned.
"Of course, there is nothing good about this. But there are no reasons to lament, whine and prepare for the worst," Aleksandr Lukashenko stressed. “I will tell you this, we exercise power in the country today, and even if there were reasons to expect the worst, we would still have to work to make sure the country lives on."
The head of state noted that the situation in the country depends on the work of everyone. "Everyone has their zone of responsibility, whether it is a district in Brest Oblast or in any other regions where you will work. It's your area of responsibility. You should do everything possible so that people have jobs, so that those who work hard will earn more and those who don't will get what they deserve. And then no one will be able to destabilize the situation in the country," the president is convinced.
