Lukashenko: Traitors from Belarus, Russia are fighting on side of Ukraine in Kursk Oblast

MINSK, 18 August (BelTA) - Traitors from Belarus and Russia are fighting on the side of Ukraine in Kursk Oblast, Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko said in an interview with the Rossiya TV channel, BelTA has learned.

"The Russian volunteer corps, the Vlasovites as I call them, and the Belarusian volunteer corps are operating in Ukraine," the president said. “They are sitting near Kursk. It's like in Khatyn. The Ukrainians destroyed Khatyn. These traitors are the same. They are fighting there on the side of the Ukrainians."

There is another unit in Ukraine made from the Belarusian self-exiled opposition - the Kastus Kalinovsky regiment. "These are small crooks, there is more politics there. They are not warriors," Aleksandr Lukashenko said. "We've noticed lately that they are fleeing because ‘the ataman has no gold reserves’. ‘If it goes on like this, I will also flee’… [a phrase from the movie ‘Wedding in Malinovka”]. The situation is reminiscent of the script of ‘Wedding in Malinovka’. Some are fleeing to Poland, some to the Czech Republic. In fact, the name of this regiment has only remained."
