GOMEL, 20 November (BelTA) – Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko is set to make a working trip to Gomel Oblast and visit the Belarusian harvester manufacturer Gomselmash on 20 November, BelTA has learned.
The head of state will be updated on the industrial, economic and social development of Gomel Oblast, as well as on the financial and economic activities and prospects of Gomselmash. The president will be shown samples of products manufactured at the enterprise, including the goods produced as part of the import substitution program. Aleksandr Lukashenko will also get familiar with the combine harvester assembling process.
In January-October 2020 Gomselmash manufacturing output rose 31% against the 2020 predictions of 10.4%. The enterprise' exports have already exceeded the annual plan ($86 million) to reach $93.3 million. The exports increased by almost 21% year-on-year. Profitability of sales made up 6.9%.
