VOLKOVYSK, 14 June (BelTA) - Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko will make a working trip to Grodno Oblast. The head of state is set to visit the Belarusian infant milk powder and baby food producer Bellakt in Volkovysk, BelTA has learned.
The head of state will be briefed on the social and economic development of Grodno Oblast and the performance of Bellakt. The president plans to examine the production base of the enterprise.
The head of state will also be shown products from dairy processing enterprises of Grodno Oblast. These include Bellakt, Lida Dairy Canning Plant, and Molochny Mir.

Aleksandr Luakshenko has recently mentioned the operation of Bellakt with a view to diversifying Belarusian food exports to distant countries, in particular to Africa. For example, there are currently difficulties in selling butter abroad, as there is oversupply. “Butter is made from milk. So we should make powdered milk instead, as they do in Volkovysk [at the Bellakt enterprise]. It has a good price. We can send it to Africa or use it to produce baby food,” the president suggested.
Bellakt's products - Bellakt Premium dry milk formulas - were awarded the State Quality Mark in 2025.
Bellakt specializes in the production of dairy products, including infant milk powder. The company is export-oriented and is actively expanding its presence in foreign markets, including the CIS. Bellakt is the only manufacturer of powered infant formulas in Belarus. The company has more than half a century of history, which began with the opening of the Volkovysk Milk and Canning Baby Food Plant in 1970.
