
The head of state will be briefed on the design and construction works at the site of the future park and museum. After that, the president and student construction brigades will plant an alley of 80 trees symbolizing the 80th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War.
The construction of the Belarusian National History Museum is underway near Orlovskaya Street on the site of the former Dreamland theme park. The project documentation has already been developed. Construction and installation works started in February 2025. Excavation works have already been completed. Piles for the foundation are currently being installed.
Taking part in the construction of the museum are student construction brigades.
The People's Unity Park will be laid out around the National History Museum within the area of Pobeditelei Avenue, Orlovskaya Street and the Svisloch River. Construction and installation works started in October 2024.
The area of 16 hectares has been cleared up from three dozen buildings, structures and small architectural forms as well as engineering communications. The second phase of construction includes the construction of a square adjacent to Orlovskaya Street, the construction of an entrance arch, a grand staircase, and an area to host official events.
The park will also feature exposition areas of regional centers and Minsk, pedestrian paths to form an honorary alley, children's play areas and sports grounds, green spaces with arbors and swings, a landscaped water reservoir, additional fencing, a reconstructed administrative building, and an electrical substation.
