MINSK, 21 December (BelTA) – Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko will meet with cosmonaut Oleg Novitsky on 21 December, BelTA has learned.
According to the Telegram channel Pul Pervogo, the cosmonaut arrived at the Palace of Independence with his family. It is expected that the head of state will award the Order of Friendship of Peoples to him.
BelTA reported earlier that the president signed a corresponding decree a few days ago. Oleg Novitsky was honored with the Order of Friendship of Peoples in recognition of his significant achievements in space exploration and a big personal contribution to the enhancement of international ties.
