MINSK, 6 October (BelTA) – Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko will hold a government meeting to discuss economic matters on 6 October, BelTA has learned.
“There are many questions, as well as participants. The number one question is the situation with prices in the country. The president himself changed the format of the meeting the night before, he also changed speakers, added participants,” the Pul Pervogo Telegram channel informs.
The National Statistical Committee, trade unions, heads of the two houses of parliament, the State Control Committee are expected to deliver reports on the current situation, the reasons for the price rise, and proposals to keep prices in check. The government and the National Bank will report on the measures to stabilize the situation.
