Lukashenko to attend Allied Resolve 2022 exercise near Osipovichi

OSIPOVICHI DISTRICT, 17 February (BelTA) – Belarusian President, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces Aleksandr Lukashenko is expected to get familiar with the course of the Belarusian-Russian joint operational exercise Allied Resolve 2022, BelTA has learned.

A part of the tactical exercise will be held at the Osipovichsky training area. It will involve missile troops and artillery, aviation of the Union State, and units of airborne troops of the Russian Armed Forces.

The inspection will be held in two phases. The first one (which ran through 9 February) rehearsed deploying troops and defending military facilities. The exercise assessed the readiness and ability of the air defense forces on duty to provide protection for key facilities, protection of the state border in the airspace, checking the readiness and ability of the air defense forces and means on duty to perform tasks to cover important facilities in the territory of the Republic of Belarus.

The joint exercise Allied Resolve 2022 is held from 10 to 20 February. The exercise is drilling suppression and repulse of external aggression as well as countering terrorism and defending the interests of the Union State.

The exercise is taking place at the Gozhsky, Obuz-Lesnovsky, Brestsky and Osipovichsky training areas, and also some other areas.
