MINSK, 27 January (BelTA) – Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko thanked the Central Election Commission and members of local election commissions as he met with CIS Secretary General, head of the CIS observation mission at the presidential election in Belarus Sergei Lebedev on 27 January, BelTA has learned.
“This is my first TV appearance and first meeting after the election. So I would like to take this opportunity to thank our Central Election Commission and selfless people who worked at a lower level, especially at polling stations. They took on the main burden. Overall, they fulfilled their mission with excellence. This characterizes not only the government, but also the Belarusian people,” the Belarusian leader said.
