GRODNO, 19 March (BelTA) – Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko met with workers of the dairy company Molochny Mir on 19 March. Among other things he mentioned how the gift basket had been filled with a selection of Belarusian foods and presented to President of Russia Vladimir Putin in Sochi, BelTA has learned.
Aleksandr Lukashenko remarked that such food selections, which are presented to foreign leaders, including Vladimir Putin, always contain the latest food products. His Russian counterpart has never complained about the quality of Belarusian foods he had received, the president stressed.
“Gifts are not something I'd take from a shop shelf and put in a basket. New products are gifted. If back then you had new products previously unavailable in retail, your products would surely have been added to the basket,” Aleksandr Lukashenko said.
In his words, Vladimir Putin's attitude and the overall attitude of Russians to Belarusian products are the best.
