MINSK, 10 June (BelTA) – There is a need to hold public discussions of people's concerns at the grassroots level, Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko said at the national seminar-conference to discuss new methods and forms of public communication at the grassroots level, BelTA has learned.
The president recalled the practice of holding dialogue platforms during the discussion of amendments to the Constitution and expressed confidence that such forms of public discussions should be practiced more often in the future. This work should be organized primarily by ideologists.
"Information support of discussions in the print and internet regional media is a must," the head of state emphasized. As an example, he cited Minsk Oblast that set up call centers for dialogue platforms.
"Practice has shown that the placement of playgrounds, the format of district holidays, places for new alleys and much more are the initiatives that citizens want to discuss and to participate," the Belarusian leader stated.
