MINSK, 22 April (BelTA) –Standardization has to do with the protection of the Belarusian market, Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko said when appointing Yelena Morgunova as Chair of the State Committee for Standardization on 22 April, BelTA has learned.
“We take standardization very seriously. This has to do, among other things, with the protection of our market. Some countries use these methods unscrupulously,” the head of state noted.
“We shouldn’t do this. But [we must] not forget that we need to protect and develop our own things,” added Aleksandr Lukashenko.
Yelena Morgunova has worked as First Deputy Chair of the State Committee for Standardization since 2022.
