MINSK, 29 January (BelTA) – Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko spoke about his methods of raising children and grandchildren as he met with Belarusian students on 29 January, BelTA has learned.
The head of state said that he acts as a role model for his children and recommended that young people do likewise.
“Well, if you want to talk about me as a parent, here's a tip. This is how I brought up my sons, especially the youngest one: I acted the way I want them to act. This is my secret: follow my lead,” Aleksandr Lukashenko explained.
The president also believes that it is important to spot and unlock the child's talents and potential. If children have no talent for something, there is no need to push them, he noted.
Parents should pay attention to studies and sport, the head of state added. “Ignorance is a shame. Sport is also essential. You should exercise two hours a day if you want to stay healthy,” Aleksandr Lukashenko advised.
