MINSK, 15 July (BelTA) – Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko signed an executive order to approve the decision of the Council of the President's Special Fund for Social Support for Gifted Students on 15 July, BelTA learned from the presidential press service.
In line with the executive order, 1,013 students who achieved great results in the academic field and science will get cash rewards to the amount of almost Br160,000.
In particular, cash rewards and an honoree badge were awarded to nine winners of international scientific tournaments (three of them got cash bonuses); 1,001 winners of national school competitions will also get financial rewards.
The executive order is aimed at providing targeted support for gifted students and creating an enabling environment for students to develop their skills and improve learning outcomes.
