MINSK, 13 June (BelTA) – It is necessary to identify specific areas of cooperation with Kyrgyzstan, Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko told Sergei Molunov whom he appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to Kyrgyzstan on 13 June, BelTA has learned.
“I don’t think that you will encounter any problems there. If you do, let me know. We have excellent relations with all senior officials and people of influence in Kyrgyzstan. We need to figure out in what areas we will cooperate with them,” said Aleksandr Lukashenko.
The head of state recalled that in Soviet times, Belarus often purchased beet seeds from Kyrgyzstan. If this is still relevant for Belarus, the country should consider it, the president believes. “And a number of other areas. They are very interested in working with us across the board, from agriculture to the defense industry. Therefore, I really hope that you will not have any problems there,” the president added.
