MINSK, 5 July (BelTA) – Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko has congratulated Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro and the people of this country on Venezuela National Day, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian leader.
The head of state noted that 210 years ago, united by one idea, the Venezuelan people demonstrated strong determination and proclaimed the independence of their country. Today the state led by Nicolas Maduro continues to defend the country's inalienable right to sovereignty and dignity in accordance with the behests of Simon Bolivar.
“At the time of growing disagreements in international relations, I am pleased to see Minsk and Caracas having shared values and Venezuela providing unconditional support to Belarus. I am convinced that openness and mutual respect are an excellent foundation for the further consistent development of bilateral cooperation in various fields,” the message reads.
