MINSK, 7 June (BelTA) - Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko has sent greetings to King Carl XVI Gustaf of Sweden as the country celebrates National Day, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian leader.
The head of state noted that Belarus is interested in continuing pragmatic dialogue with Sweden on the principles of mutual respect and partnership. “The realization of the existing potential of cooperation in trade and investment, environmental protection, initiatives against climate change, ties between local authorities will help promote mutual understanding, improve living standards in the two states, and intensify bilateral contacts,” the message of greetings reads.
The president expressed confidence that in 2021 Sweden will continue to fulfill its responsible obligations as the OSCE president for the sake of strengthening security in the Euro-Atlantic and Eurasian space.
Aleksandr Lukashenko wished King Carl XVI Gustaf strong health, support in the society, fulfillment of all plans. He also wished Swedish people peaceful and cloudless future and solidarity.
