MINSK, 1 September (BelTA) – Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko has sent greetings to Uzbekistan President Shavkat Mirziyoyev as the country celebrates its independence, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian leader.
“Over this historically short period of time, Uzbekistan has established itself as a sovereign and independent state, rightfully deserving recognition by the world community,” the message of greetings reads.
“Your country has been developing at a rapid pace, demonstrating high achievements and effective transformations in all areas of state functioning, making a significant contribution to stability and security in Central Asia. It is gratifying that Minsk and Tashkent have succeeded in preserving and augmenting the long-standing traditions of warm, friendly and trust-based relations,” the head of state said.
Aleksandr Lukashenko expressed interest in further expanding the mutually beneficial Belarusian-Uzbek cooperation with new promising projects.
