Lukashenko sends Independence Day greetings to Kyrgyzstan 

MINSK, 31 August (BelTA) – Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko has sent greetings to Kyrgyzstan President Sadyr Japarov as the country celebrates  Independence Day, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian leader.

“This holiday symbolizes the unity of the people who have gone through a lot to have their state. Over the years of sovereignty, Minsk and Bishkek have carefully preserved the common historical heritage and expanded contacts in many areas,” the message of congratulations reads.

The head of state remarked that bilateral relations are based on trust and the spirit of partnership; the two countries successfully cooperate at regional organizations, which is testimony to the high level of relations. “We saw this once again when we applied for the SCO membership and received tremendous support from Bishkek. I am confident that the friendly ties between Belarus and Kyrgyzstan will only grow stronger, supported by new projects,” the president emphasized.

Aleksandr Lukashenko wished Sadyr Japarov and his compatriots peace, stability and prosperity, and further achievements for the benefit of their country.
