Lukashenko sends Independence Day greetings to Jordan

MINSK, 25 May (BelTA) – Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko has congratulated King Abdullah II of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan on Independence Day, BelTA learned from the press service of the head of state.

Belarus highly appreciates Jordan’s efforts to maintain peace and stability in the Middle East and welcomes the initiatives of King Abdullah II to maintain security in the country and neighboring states, the Belarusian leader emphasized.

“We are committed to deepening friendly, mutually respectful relations and promoting comprehensive cooperation with your country,” Aleksandr Lukashenko noted. “I am convinced that we will be able to tap into the significant cooperation potential in areas of common interest and to open a new page in relations between Minsk and Amman.” 
 
The president of Belarus wished the King of Jordan good health and success in all endeavors for the benefit of the kingdom, and also wished prosperity and well-being to the people of Jordan.
