MINSK, 26 March (BelTA) – Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko has extended greetings to his counterpart Abdul Hamid and the people of Bangladesh, as the country marks its 50th Independence Day, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian leader.
“Over half a century of independence, your country has achieved significant success - solid state institutions have been created, sustainable economic development has been achieved, and international standing is improving,” the message says.
The head of state noted that cooperation between Belarus and Bangladesh is based on the principles of mutual respect and trust; Minsk and Dhaka have similar positions on the main issues of the international agenda.
“I am convinced that our friendly ties will successfully expand for the benefit of the citizens of both states,” Aleksandr Lukashenko stressed.
