MINSK, 22 February (BelTA) – Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko has sent greetings to the Raubichi Winter Olympic Sport Center to congratulate it on the 50th anniversary of founding, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian leader.
"Over half a century, the center has launched the careers of a galaxy of eminent athletes - winners and medalists of the Olympic Games, world and European championships. Now the best Belarusian coaches are training new athletes, worthy successors to our famous champions in winter sports, bringing up true patriots of the country," the head of state said.
Aleksandr Lukashenko noted that Raubichi is a state-of-the-art multifunctional sports and tourist facility, widely known all over the world. The center has hosted major international competitions in biathlon, cross-country and freestyle skiing at a high organizational level.
The president thanked the staff, veterans and everyone who contributed to the development of the center for their responsible attitude and professionalism.
"I wish you good health, peace, kindness and new great achievements for the glory of Belarus," the head of state said.
