MINSK, 18 February (BelTA) – Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko has sent greetings to the participants of the 28th edition of the Minsk International Book Fair and the 7th edition of the Writer and Time international symposium, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian leader.
The head of state noted that the Minsk book fair has evolved into a major discussion platform not only for authors and book publishers, but also for a wide range of intellectuals who love and value high-quality literature.
“It is symbolic that the Commonwealth of Independent States is the central exhibitor of this forum. Belarus presides over this authoritative international organization in the year when it marks its 30th anniversary. Minsk has always been committed to constructive cooperation and comprehensive integration in the post-Soviet space. Landmark publications of the CIS member states presented at the exhibition are designed to help strengthen the humanitarian ties between our countries and peoples,” the message reads.
Aleksandr Lukashenko wished the organizers and participants of the event successful creative work, and visitors unforgettable meetings with authors and publishers of fascinating and useful literature.
