Lukashenko sends greetings to family of Belarus' first 2021 baby

MINSK, 6 January (BelTA) – Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko sent greetings to the family that welcomed Belarus' first 2021 baby. Gifts and flowers were given from the head of state to the parents. The photos were published by the Telegram channel Pul Pervogo, BelTA has learned.

As it has been reported, the 2021 first baby was born at Vitebsk Regional Maternity Hospital. The baby, named Roma, was 3.910kg, and 53cm long at birth. The boy's parents live and work in the town of Orsha.

Vitebsk Regional Maternity Hospital has been temporarily re-purposed to treat COVID-19 patients. The young mother was previously diagnosed with the coronavirus infection and was in the Vitebsk hospital under observation.

The photos published by Pul Pervogo feature the parents of the newborn. The proud father is holding little Roma in his hands and the mother - a large bouquet with a note “Best wishes from Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko”. Another photo features presents, including various baby products.
