MINSK, 1 June (BelTA) – Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko has sent greetings to the editorial team of the Sportivnaya Panorama newspaper as this oldest sports newspaper marks the 70th anniversary, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian leader.
“As a good successor of Fizkulturnik Belarusi, the Sportivnaya Panorama newspaper is famous for the professionalism of its team, honest, objective and thoughtful journalism,” the message of greetings reads.
The head of state remarked that the newspaper provides extensive coverage of high-profile sports competitions, mass sport events, social and political events. The authors are also committed to the promotion of children's and youth sport, healthy lifestyles.
“The heroes of Sportivnaya Panorama are people competing under the Belarusian flag whose victories, medals, genuine patriotism glorify our country and are a good example for youth. I am convinced that thanks to your professionalism and solid civil position you will continue to produce high-quality, interesting and useful materials for your newspaper,” Aleksandr Lukashenko stressed.
