
MINSK, 15 May (BelTA) - Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko has sent condolences to President Yamandú Orsi of Uruguay over the death of prominent political figure and former Uruguayan President José Mujica, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian leader.
The head of state emphasized that Belarus was deeply saddened by the news about the demise of José Mujica.
"He will always be remembered as a true people's leader who dedicated himself entirely to the principles of social justice and equality," the message of condolences reads.
Aleksandr Lukashenko extended his sincere condolences to all Uruguayans and José Mujica’s family and friends in connection with this huge loss.
