Lukashenko sends birthday greetings to Patriarch Kirill

MINSK, 20 November (BelTA) – Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko has sent a letter of birthday greetings to Patriarch of Moscow and all Russia Kirill, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian leader.

According to the head of state, believers welcome Patriarch Kirill's many-year service with gratitude and warmth.

“The church is using its millennial creative experience to restore, preserve and develop the spiritual legacy. Your relentless care for the authority of the Eastern Orthodox Church, maintenance of public accord, religious tolerance, mutual respect and love helps promote peace and stability between the brotherly nations of Belarus and Russia,” the felicitation message reads.
