MINSK, 29 September (BelTA) – Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko congratulated current and former employees of the Industry Ministry and the machine-building complex on the 30th anniversary of the Industry Ministry and the machine-building complex and on their professional holiday - Machine Builder's Day, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian leader.
“Since its establishment, the Industry Ministry has had a responsible mission of preserving the solid industrial legacy inherited from the USSR and developing new high-tech capacities in order to meet the needs of the young sovereign Belarus and increase exports,” the congratulations read.
The head of state noted that now the ministry has dozens of enterprises under its umbrella and these are the largest employers in their regions and the economic lifeline of their communities. Most importantly, they are the backbone of the open economy of our country.
Currently, the industry faces ambitious tasks, like strengthening the technological sovereignty and import independence of the country, increasing Belarus' economic presence in other countries, search for new logistics routes and markets.
“I am convinced that professionalism, dedication and pursuit of excellence will help you achieve all your goals,” Aleksandr Lukashenko emphasized. The president wished employees of the industrial sector good health and well-being.
