MINSK, 12 February (BelTA) – Rental housing should help companies and organizations retain their employees, Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko said at the 6th Belarusian People's Congress on 12 February, BelTA informs.
“As far as housing is concerned, we will give a bigger priority to rental housing, including for companies. Let them build more housing of their own,” Aleksandr Lukashenko said.
“I strongly believe that rental housing will help keep workers at their jobs. We really need it now. These job hoppers might take a wrecking ball to the manufacturing industry. Therefore, housing should become an incentive for workers to stay with their employers,” the head of state believes.
As reminder, there are plans to commission about 725,000m2 of rental housing in Belarus in 2021-2025.
