MINSK, 30 January (BelTA) – During a visit to Planar, one of the leaders in the microelectronics sector, Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko received a unique gift made from materials used in production, BelTA has learned.
Planar Director General Sergei Avakov thanked Aleksandr Lukashenko on behalf of the enterprise’s personnel for his support.
“No, that’s not my credit. It’s yours,” the president said in reply.
Sergei Avakov presented the head of state with a composition featuring the enterprise’s emblem and name, which Planar employees made with their own hands. The gift is crafted from the very materials used in the production process. “This is sitall, this is quartz, this is gabbro-diabase. It is all framed in wood – a symbol of our country, a symbol of our unity,” he explained.
“I think we will place it in the most prominent spot at the Palace of Independence. Because whether we want it or not, you are today the main drivers of our life, you develop the main directions in which we are moving. What is artificial intelligence without you? Nothing. So let there be artificial intelligence. But the one we will create together, and which will not replace us,” Aleksandr Lukashenko said.
