MINSK, 13 December (BelTA) – A personal message from U.S. President Donald Trump and his wife Melania Trump has been delivered to Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko, Press Secretary of the Belarusian president Natalya Eismont said on the air of the First News TV Channel, BelTA has learned.
“U.S. Special Envoy for Belarus John Coale [with whom Aleksandr Lukashenko held talks in Minsk on 12-13 December] delivered a personal message from Donald and Melania Trump to our president. In particular, they thanked the Belarusian side and the president personally for the consistent hospitality extended to the American delegation here. They appreciate our Belarusian hospitality and very warm welcome. They expressed gratitude for the gifts that our president previously sent to Donald and Melania. And they extended Christmas greetings, wishing a happy holiday. Donald Trump also noted that he is looking forward to John Coale’s return home in order to hear the details of the talks that took place,” Natalya Eismont said.
