MINSK, 21 January (BelTA) – I am ready to support Donald Trump’s nomination for the Nobel Peace Prize, if he proves himself a peacemaker, Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko said as he met with MAZ workers, BelTA has learned.
“If you are a peacemaker, then do you best for the world to have no wars. You can do that. The USA has always unleashed these wars. Or pushed for wars. If you do that, if you want to be a Nobel Peace Prize winner, we will support you too, we will nominate you. Although the Nobel Peace Prize doesn't mean anything there already,” the Belarusian leader said.
Speaking about the election statements and promises of Donald Trump, Aleksandr Lukashenko emphasized that it is impossible to make only the American people happy. “Trump is not a boy; he has already served one term. He should already draw some conclusions. He should understand that apart from Americans, there are more than 200 nations and nationalities in the world. And the states that want these peoples to live well. The United States has been behaving very badly lately,” the head of state said.
According to Aleksandr Lukashenko, the USA will no longer be able to dominate the world alone. “They will not be able to break or destroy China, for example,” he said.
