MINSK, 24 August (BelTA) – The government is ready to do its best to support teachers. Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko made the statement during the National Pedagogical Conference on 24 August, BelTA has learned.
Aleksandr Lukashenko said: “We have everything to allow kids to get normal education and find their place in life. Trust me, we will do everything we can for you. If money is available, we will give the last kopeck to the teacher.”
The president stressed he had mentioned it not because he was directly addressing pedagogues. He said he dislikes flattering. “There can simply be no country without teachers. We will not allow pointing fingers at teachers, let alone raising fists. And it will always be like that,” he noted.
