Lukashenko, Putin to meet on 13 February

MINSK, 6 February (BelTA) – Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko will meet with Russia President Vladimir Putin on 13 February, BelTA learned from Spokesperson for the President of Belarus Natalya Eismont.

“Yes, the meeting is scheduled for 13 February,” the spokesperson said.

In her words, the agenda of the meeting will include crucial issues of the Belarusian-Russian cooperation, including the operation of the bilateral group which was formed following the decision of the two presidents.

It was reported earlier that the heads of state agreed on a new meeting during a telephone conversation on 31 January. They wanted to discuss the implementation of agreements which were reached during the previous talks in Moscow at the end of 2018.

The date of the forthcoming meeting was previously announced by the Izvestiya Newspaper with reference to Spokesperson to the President of Russia Dmitry Peskov. It is reported that the meeting with take place in Sochi.
