Lukashenko presented with Tatarstan’s Order of Friendship

KAZAN, 21 February (BelTA) - Head of Russia’s Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov presented the Order of Friendship (Duslyk) to Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko during the talks in Kazan on 21 February, BelTA has learned.

Aleksandr Lukashenko has been awarded the Order for his significant contribution to the development of cooperation between Tatarstan and Belarus, strengthening friendship and mutual understanding between the peoples.

During his visit to the Kazan Kremlin, the Belarusian head of state signed the guest book. The president emphasized that the multifaceted cooperation between Minsk and Kazan is gaining new content every day. Aleksandr Lukashenko expects that the parties will be able to start implementing breakthrough joint projects. “You can count on our support!” the Belarusian leader emphasized.



The Order "Duslyk" is the second most important state award of Tatarstan. It is awarded “for special merits in strengthening the international prestige of the Republic of Tatarstan, friendship and cooperation between the Republic of Tatarstan and foreign states, other subjects of the Russian Federation, for significant contribution to the development of economic, trade, scientific, technical, social, cultural ties and industrial potential, effective investment, charitable and public activities that contribute to the prosperity of the Republic of Tatarstan”.

The Order, as well as other state awards of Tatarstan, is awarded by the decree of the head of the republic and the decision of the relevant commission on state awards.
