Lukashenko pardons 29 people convicted of extremist crimes

MINSK, 9 December (BelTA) – Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko has pardoned 29 people who committed extremist crimes, BelTA learned from the press service of the head of state.

All of them repented and applied for pardon to the head of state. These are 11 women and 18 men, or more specifically six people under 25, three pension-age people, two persons with disabilities and 15 people with chronic diseases.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs will keep tabs on the pardoned to make sure they will not break the law again.
