Lukashenko on working visit to Lida

MINSK, 26 October (BelTA) – Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko is on a working visit to Lida, Grodno Oblast, on 26 October, BelTA has learned.

The head of state will visit Lida District Hospital to discuss the treatment of local residents amidst the current epidemiological situation. The president will be briefed on the state of affairs in Lida and Lida District, as well as in Grodno Oblast as a whole.

Lida District Hospital is a multi-purpose healthcare facility that provides emergency and routine medical care and medical advise to residents of Lida District and adjacent districts. The hospital runs 11 departments.

Grodno Oblast reported a 6.5% drop in new coronavirus cases over the past two weeks. About 3,400 beds, or 35% of the bed capacity, were allocated for treatment and rehabilitation of COVID-19 patients. Beds are re-purposed as the need arises. At the moment, all types of routine care are available. Healthcare facilities of Grodno Oblast have enough mechanical ventilators and 1,725 oxygen outlets.
