Lukashenko: ‘Nothing is done in Belarus without president's permission‘

MINSK, 2 July (BelTA) - Nothing in Belarus, especially today, is done without the permission or command of the president, Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko said at a meeting in the run-up to Independence Day in Minsk on 2 July, BelTA has learned.

“Mass media are speculating that Belarus is ‘occupied', that Putin is in control. I understand why this is happening today and I want you to understand: they are using all kinds of methods to destabilize things in our country. They know what I am like, and they are trying to get to me,” said the head of state.

“Remember: nothing in Belarus, especially today, is done without the permission or command of President Lukashenko. It will be so as long as I am the president,” the Belarusian leader said.
