MOSCOW, 13 March (BelTA) – Russia’s latest missile systems Oreshnik have not been deployed in Belarus yet. Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko made the statement for mass media in the Kremlin, BelTA has learned.
The head of state said: “There are no Oreshniks yet. We are working on it. But when I looked into this problem (Vladimir Vladimirovich [Putin] got me to look into it), it turned out that all of it needs to be manufactured except for the missile. And we manufacture it in Belarus. This is why we are working on it. We have virtually finished making several launch vehicles, which are designated for Oreshnik systems. We will need missiles from the elder brother [Russia].”
