Lukashenko makes cautious predictions about COVID-19

MINSK, 19 October (BelTA) – The situation with COVID-19 is not easy in Belarus, but there are grounds to make cautious predictions regarding its possible development, Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko said at the meeting to discuss the epidemiological situation and the COVID-19 response in Belarus on 19 October, BelTA has learned.

“The situation is clear. About two weeks ago I once again interrogated (I cannot put it otherwise) the healthcare minister. We both came to the same conclusion that this week and the next week will be very indicative in terms of treatment of diseases, above all the coronavirus infection,” the head of state said.

“After today's discussion, this impression (or such a cautious prediction) has become even stronger. This week and the next week will be decisive,” Aleksandr Lukashenko said.
