BREST OBLAST, 21 October (BelTA) – While talking to reporters in the combined-arms military training area Obuz-Lesnovsky in Brest Oblast Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko made a few comments about online news claiming he is wanted by the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU), BelTA has learned.
Aleksandr Lukashenko responded to these leaks by saying: “There is no need to put my name on the wanted list. I am here. If SBU needs it, they may come here. If they want to see me, they are welcome to.”
Reports claiming that Aleksandr Lukashenko is wanted by Ukraine's SBU started appearing online the other day. However, the SBU refuted the news as fake later on.
“Who would want to confirm it officially? They had to leak the news first and see the response. I've told you what my initial response was: feel free to come, not a problem. I can meet with them and talk to them in your presence. We will ensure 100% security in our part of the territory. We are open people, we have nothing to fear,” the president stressed.
