Lukashenko inspecting hospitals in Minsk District

MINSK, 20 October (BelTA) – Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko continues a series of events to evaluate the country's response to COVID-19, BelTA informs.

A day before, the head of state held a large-scale meeting to discuss the epidemiological situation and measures taken to counter the spread of the coronavirus infection. On 20 October Aleksandr Lukashenko is visiting healthcare facilities of Minsk District.

The visits will focus not only on treating COVID-19 patients. At first, the president will tour the Alexandrov National Cancer Center of Belarus to study the provision of medical care to cancer patients.

After that, the head of state is set to visit Minsk Oblast Hospital to see how the hospital is operating amidst the pandemic. The president will be briefed on provision of medical care to patients in re-purposed hospital departments.
