PUKHOVICHI DISTRICT, 4 November (BelTA) – Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko has set a task to draw on the experience of creating the Belarusian National Biotechnology Corporation (BNBC) while building capacity in Belarusian science, BelTA has learned.
The first question the president asked right after the arrival was: “What are we going to do next?” It should be noted that the Belarusian National Biotechnology Corporation is a unique project.
The head of state was informed that almost a hundred facilities had already been put into operation since the start of construction works.
Aleksandr Lukashenko asked in detail about the participation of the National Academy of Sciences in the project, and the readiness of the domestic academic and applied science was for such ambitious construction works.
Belarusian scientists had certain solutions in this field, but could not test them because there were no suitable facilities and no demand for them. Now the Belarusian National Biotechnology Corporation can act as a springboard for domestic microbiology.
The head of state also spoke about the raw material base of the BNBC: “This is a locomotive. This is absolutely our thing. And land plots should be allocated on the best terms.”
