MINSK, 30 August (BelTA) – Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko held a number of telephone talks in the morning of 30 August, BelTA has learned from the press service of the Belarusian leader.
The main topic for discussion was a situation in Afghanistan. “The parties discussed consultations on the issues raised at the CSTO meeting in Dushanbe and the development of a common position on Afghanistan,” the press service said.
The Belarusian leader first discussed the topic with the president of Tajikistan and then held a telephone talk with the Russian president. Aleksandr Lukashenko is also expected to speak with his counterpart from Uzbekistan.
