SVETLOGORSK, 14 February (BelTA) – This year Gomel Oblast should prove itself in agriculture, Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko said during his working trip to Svetlogorsk on 14 February, BelTA has learned.
“Gomel Oblast should prove itself in agriculture throughout this year. You have everything in place for that,” the Belarusian leader said.
He emphasized that in the face of the climate change the region should decide on what crops to cultivate. The priority should be given to high-quality fodder for cattle breeding.
“The climate has changed. There is no denying that any more. It means we should cultivate the crops that Ukraine grows. Come to grips with this matter and get down to work,” Aleksandr Lukashenko said.
