Lukashenko: Global security should be based on inclusive dialogue without discrimination

MINSK, 3 July (BelTA) – Global security should be maintained through inclusive dialogue without discrimination, Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko said in an interview with the international news agency Kazinform in the run-up to the SCO summit in Astana, BelTA has learned.

“I strongly believe that genuine and indivisible global security in the 21st century must be built through inclusive dialogue without discrimination and on terms that are acceptable to all. You cannot demand security for yourself while ignoring security of others. The SCO is an organization that promotes development, it is not directed against anyone. “This is what the world wants today and this is fully aligned with our vision,” said the Belarusian leader.

Aleksandr Lukashenko recalled that Minsk has hosted peace talks more than once. “We consistently invite all countries and international organizations to embark on dialogue,” he noted.

Last year, Belarus put forward an initiative to develop a Eurasian Charter for Diversity and Multipolarity in the 21st Century, which is designed to set out parameters and principles of Eurasian security architecture.
