MINSK, 14 October (BelTA) – Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko has been gifted a custom-made sword in his homeland. Footage of presenting the unusual gift was aired by the Belarus 1 TV channel, BelTA reports.
During a visit to Shklov District on 11 October, the head of state showed Belarusians by his own example how to take care of domestic forests. Aleksandr Lukashenko was part of a group that planted 2,000 trees in Shklov District. By the way, thereby the president launched the nationwide campaign “Bringing forests back to life”.
He also received an unusual gift - a customized sword. This ‘sword’ is not a bladed weapon, but the Kolesov sword - a tool for planting trees.
