Lukashenko extends Press Day, Radio, Television and Communication Day greetings

MINSK, 5 May (BelTA) – Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko has extended Press Day and Radio, Television and Communication Day greetings to the workers of the information and communication sector of the country, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian head of state.

“High professionalism of Belarusian journalists, publishers, printers and communicators has helped develop a high-quality and reliable content that enables people to objectively assess the realities of life today. By reporting on events in the country and the world, by implementing topical socio-political, socio-economic and creative projects, you create an emotional background and shape the political culture in the society,” the message of greetings reads.

Aleksandr Lukashenko noted that the inviolability of traditional values of the nation, traditions and state sovereignty largely depends on the civic position of the workers of this sector, on their ability to stand up for the interests of Belarus in a substantiated and firm manner under external information pressure.

“I am convinced that in the Year of People's Unity your talent and creativity, competence and dedication will serve the noble mission of strengthening the national consciousness of the Belarusians - universal pride in the heroic past and deeds of the previous generations, the feeling of involvement of everyone in the achievements of the present, awareness of personal responsibility for the future of the native land,” the president stressed.
