MINSK, 27 August (BelTA) – Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko has sent greetings to Moldovan President Maia Sandu as the country celebrates Independence Day, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian leader.
The head of state noted that over 30 years of sovereignty, Moldova has gone through a lot to achieve appreciable progress in state-building, social and economic reforms, increasing the living standards of its people.
“A solid foundation has been laid for multifaceted and effective bilateral cooperation based on long-standing friendship, mutual understanding and support. I sincerely hope that certain differences in priorities and development vectors will not impede a constructive and fruitful dialogue that seeks to promote genuine interests of Belarusians and Moldovans,” the message reads.
