MINSK, 28 November (BelTA) — Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko has extended greetings to President of the Islamic Republic of Mauritania Mohamed Ould Ghazouani as the country celebrates Independence Day, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian leader.
"This date is forever associated with the liberation of the Mauritanian people from the yoke of capitalism and the dawn of a new era of development. Mauritania is pursuing a course towards strengthening its economy, and is a participant of regional and global processes," the message of greetings reads.
The head of state noted that this year marked the 20th anniversary of the establishment of bilateral diplomatic relations. According to him, the time has come to take the mutual partnership to a brand new level.
The president also confirmed the invitation to the leader of Mauritania to visit Belarus. "I am confident that the results of our talks and your acquaintance with the Belarusian experience and competencies in manufacturing industry, agriculture, healthcare, construction, education and medicine will become a positive signal to the business communities of both countries and will help expand interaction between Belarus and West Africa," the head of state emphasized.
Aleksandr Lukashenko wished good health and success to Mohamed Ould Ghazouani and peace and progress to the friendly people of Mauritania.
